Patient Packing Guide

It’s important to make sure that patients are comfortable during their stay at Spring Mountain Behavioral Services. We’ve outlined what items a patient will need to pack for a short term stay. We’ve also outlined which items should be left at home. We ask that patients and their visitors adhere to guidelines below to ensure security for all patients, guests and staff.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Three pairs of pants/shorts (must be at least knee length)
  • Three shirts/blouses
  • Three to four pairs of underwear
  • Three bras (no underwire)
  • One pair of shoes/sandals/flip-flops (no strings)
  • Three pairs of socks
  • Two sets of pajamas
  • Cosmetics and toiletries in plastic containers
  • Two sweaters or sweatshirts (no strings)
  • Optional: Shampoo, toothpaste, alcohol-free mouthwash, powder, lotion

WHAT NOT TO BRING

  • Strings, belts, shoelaces
  • Spaghetti straps
  • Revealing clothes
  • Sharp ornaments or objects
  • Glass containers or aerosol cans
  • Short shorts
  • Clothing with inappropriate graphics
